DrumMic’a! is an extremely elaborately produced virtual instrument for Native Instruments KONTAKT. Among other things, it comprises, more than 13,000 audio samples and around 20,000 lines of program code. What to expect: 15 Sennheiser and Neumann microphones on a genuine drum set, recorded in a real, professional studio, reworked through the integrated software studio. Plus 1,200 authentic beats played by a lively professional drummer. The special thing about it: DrumMic’a! can be used in virtually any digital audio workstation and for your own productions. And best of all: Sennheiser and Neumann provide the software as part of a freeware licence!
Please note: Sennheiser has been providing DrumMic’a! as a library for KONTAKT and KONTAKT PLAYER for more than 7 years now. We are happy about a large community with more than 120.000 users from over 250 countries and thank all of those who have joined our offer during this exiting project phase.
As our close partnership with Native Instruments phased out and NI discontinued the Service Center Serial management end of May 2020, we decided to offer DrumMic’a! as free 3rd party library for KONTAKT to our fans. This means that existing DrumMic’a! installations can be used without limitations, but new installations will include a non-removable time-out for the Instrument when loaded in the KONTAKT PLAYER* freeware. This limit is not applied in the full version of KONTAKT.
Also, installation will be slightly different from the process in the past.
We provide you with detailed instructions for installation and loading DrumMic’a! in KONTAKT during the download procedure.
DrumMic’a! couldn’t be easier.
